Dayna Hardin – Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Family of Camps

As the Director and Owner of the revered Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Family of

Camps, Dayna Hardin is responsible for providing campers with a memorable experience
that facilitates the growth of new friendships, encourages self-confidence and allows
attendees to explore a myriad of new activities. To this end, she has fully succeeded.
Considered among the finest private camps in the nation, those who attend one of the four
camps directed by Hardin are subject to a unique, exhilarating, and above all enjoyable
summer, the likes of which they will cherish in their hearts forever.

Each camp program is distinct, affording parents the opportunity to choose the camp that
most closely resembles their children’s needs. For instance, the Lake of the Woods Camp
for Girls serves as the sister component to the Greenwoods Camp for Boys. Parents
who sign their children up for either camp will be able to choose between a four and
eight week program. These programs are perfect for families who have both a son and
a daughter interested in summer camp. The other two options, The Glen at Lake of the
Woods and The Grove at Greenwoods, are two week overnight camps that share the same
facilities.

The camps themselves are located on a majestic 80-acre landscape. Among the many
amenities included on the grounds are tennis courts, a golf course, riding stables and
archery ranges.

As Director, Dayna sees to it that each camper has a positive experience. Since first
visiting Lake of the Woods in 1979, she has continually sought ways to make the overall
summer camp experience unforgettable. Her experience as a former camper, counselor,
assistant director and director has aptly equipped her for any challenges she may face.

Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Camps have been featured in a variety of
publications including the Wall Street Journal, Family Life Magazine and USA Today.
In her time away from the camp, Hardin spends her time speaking at conferences
about relevant topics related to the camp industry. She is also the Vice President of the
American Camp Association’s National Board and the co-founder of SCOPE Midwest.
